Non-Availability of Birth Certificate (NABC) is a mode to register unregistered birth. If the original birth certificate has been burnt, torn or misplaced, it is must to apply before applying for birth certificate. The birth & death registration act of 1969 mandates it to have for school admission and obtaining driving licence, passport, voter id and visa / green card. Since it serves as the substitute of BC, it should be applied at Municipal Corporation. It is the government body that takes care of issuing and maintaining such records.
The applicant must submit his/her school certificate along with residential proof for getting NABC. Any other valid document that reads the date of birth of the applicant can be submitted with its application. Alongside, the applicant should annex a notification from gazette officer and an affidavit. After 1 to 3 months, the applicant can get it through courier or directly.
